About the farm
On Naturland Hof Weber we live and work in a family of 3 generations. We grow potatoes, medical and spice plants, e.g. black and brown mustard, caraway, cereals and feed grains, field beans, white lupins and a grass and clover mixture on 69 ha of arable land and rear 240 organic pigs. Our aim is to preserve and continually improve the fertility and health of the soil we farm. For this reason, we practice a very diverse crop rotation and intensive catch cropping.
I am part of the PFN because I have been doing new experiments on the fields and in the barn every year for 25 years, and now I finally have the chance to do this with scientific support and evaluation in a network. This way I hope to gain an even better assessment of my daily work. This is a great motivation and it is appreciated. I can contribute to gathering new insights for future colleagues and society.
