The Landesbetrieb Landwirtschaft Hessen (LLH) is a state educational and advisory institution of the state of Hesse. Its task is to advise agricultural and horticultural businesses in Hesse and to provide educational opportunities and specialist information so that the businesses can improve their profitability and at the same time protect resources (source: LLH website).
As an advisory institution in the PFN with close contact to the practical research companies, the LLH is jointly responsible for the transfer of knowledge within and outside the network, as well as for providing technical advice to the project groups.
Marianne Siebrecht (M.Sc. Ecological Agricultural Sciences) has been the contact person for the PFN at the LLH since February 2026. Her role is to act as a communicative and organizational interface between the network stakeholders (e.g. agricultural and horticultural businesses, universities and advisory institutions).
Together with the technical advisors from the fields of arable farming, vegetable growing and animal husbandry, she supports the preparation and target group-oriented dissemination of the project results to agricultural and horticultural businesses. It also supports the publication of the results as part of the LLH’s specialist information and public relations work.

We are part of the PFN because we see our role as mediating between research and practice and we want to achieve the best possible output for practice. The PFN takes up current, important topics from the farms. We want to contribute to the further development of organic vegetable production and make it more resilient to the challenges of climate change. Our vegetable growing trials are an important component of this.
