Network meeting European Agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructures
06-08.11.2024 | EVENT
PFN Hessen participated in the first meeting of the new European Network for Agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructures, which took place in Helsinki from November 6-8, 2024. As a Living Lab that was already active in the preparatory project ALL-Ready, we are very excited about the opportunity to be part of this large network dedicated to advancing the agroecology transformation in Europe.
The meeting at the Viikki Campus of the Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE) brought together living labs and research infrastructures from all over Europe. In addition to intensive discussions about the goals and mission of the network, the first steps towards implementation were on the agenda: workshops and discussions created the basis for a strong, cooperative network that will share and multiply knowledge and innovations on agroecology.
Foundation stone laid for the future
Building on the ALL-Ready and AE4EU projects, key objectives were specified, including
- The establishment of a joint action plan for knowledge transfer and networking,
- Planning joint research activities and future cooperation topics,
- Strategies for the international visibility and networking of agroecology.
Big plans and dynamic expansion
The network will continue to expand in the coming years and add new members every year. For the PFN Hessen, this means actively shaping the European agricultural transition and cooperating with partners from all over Europe. We look forward to working together on the future of agroecology and bringing the upcoming projects to life!
